How many years have you been cosplaying?

Almost 9 years and I have been creating my own costumes and props for 7 years.

What is cosplay to you and how did you get started?

To me it's a way to create awesome things and have fun with friends. It's a way to challenge myself. I really like trying out new techniques and materials with every project, but I also like hanging out with friends at conventions and/or doing group cosplays together. That's how I got into cosplay; friends invited me into this hobby.

What is you most memorable cosplay experience?

The first time representing my country at an international cosplay finals (ECG 2014). I was completely overwhelmed and enthusiastic at the same time. Being able to meet many like-minded and talented people and standing on a large stage, performing for thousands of people, will always have a special place in my heart.

Next to that, I absolutely loved the time I was part of a large cosplay group for the first time. I never thought I could find more people that liked the (at that time) obscure series like me, which was Drakengard 3.

Have you been in Denmark/at J-Popcon before, and what are you looking forward to the most?

I have! I visited back in 2017. I really loved the combination of a relative large convention and a cozy atmosphere. I'm looking forward to meeting many new cosplayers and cosplayers I already know from Denmark. Out of experience, I know the Danish cosplayers can put up a great performance, so I'm looking forward to the preliminaries!
