JCS Vindere 2019

Congratulations to the winners of this year's JCS and Craftsmanship Competition!

Once again this year, we had our classic cosplay show, J-Popcons Cosplay Show, also known as JCS, which is more similar to the time where we didn't have the big, international qualifications. The Sunday Show is a nice and cozy show, which we love to host every year, since there is room for everything, from the old, experienced cosplay show participants to the completely new novices, to the funny acts, the frivolous, the silly, the dramatic - everything! You never know what's going to happen and that's why we hold it so dear and are always so happy that we can keep the Sunday tradition alive. On top of that, we also had our Craftsmanship Competition, where the participants don't have an act, but only showcase their amazing abilities when it comes to craftsmanship, whether it's all about armour, sewing, or wigs. Therefore, Sunday is an overall diverse day that offers a little bit of everything - which our winners do as well.

This year, we had a number of different titles for the different winners. At JCS, you could win Best Character Portrayal, Best Performance, and Crowd Favourite, while you could win Best prop, Best look-a-like, and Best craft at our Craft Competition. All these winners were chosen by our lovely cosplay judges, Mirazie Cosplay, Marudashi Cosplay, and Surine Cosplay besides our Crowd Favourite, which was once again chosen by the votes of the audience. Besides all the winners of both shows winning a ticket for J-Popcon 2020, our amazing craftsmanship prizes were sponsored by Faraos Cigarer!

This year's JCS winners were:

  • Best Character Portrayal: Rosalina, Harise & Anso as Phineas, Ferb & Candace from Phineas & Ferb
  • Best Performance & Crowd Favourite: Ominax Cosplay & Tatti chan as Albus Dumbledore & Newt Scamander from Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald

This year's Craftsmanship winners were:

  • Best prop: TKN Cosplay as Dovahkiin from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
  • Best look-a-like: Elija Andersen as Trixie Mattel from RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars
  • Best craft: Meruna as Dancer's Set from Dark Souls 3

Once again, a big congratulations to all the winners!
