How to sign up
Sign-up for the different competitions
First of all, you have to have purchased a ticket and have a profile on our website. The ticket can be purchased under "Tickets and Shop" located to the left in the menu.
Next, you go to "My Page" on the left in the menu and log in. If necessary, you can set up a user if you don't have one from the previous years.
When you have logged onto your user, you will be able to register your ticket on "My Page". This requires 3 codes which you can find on your ticket/invoice. You find these codes right above the bar code.
The most important thing to remember is, if you're in a group, that all members of the group have to have logged in and registered their ticket before you are able to add them as a member to the group on the sign-up itself.
Next, you will be able to find the different sign-ups for the different competitions on "My Page".
DCC:
Are you signing up for DCC, you have to:
- Write what title you're cosplaying from as well as the character you are portraying (as well for 1-2 group members if you are not a solo act, as you only need to make ONE sign-up per act).
- Next, you have to choose what qualifications you want to participate in (WCS and ECGg for groups, or EC, ECGs, and NCC for solo acts)
- Next, you have to read and approve that you have read, understood, and agrees with the rules.
- Then, you choose whether you want to be on the wait list or not, in case all the spots have been taken.
- If you participate in NCC, you have to register whether you have a stage ninja (assistent) with you, and you have to do so with their full name (as it is written on the person's medical card). Your stage ninja also has to have bought a ticket to participate on the day itself, but they do not have to log in and register their ticket with the 3 codes (that is why you're still only one participant on the sign-up for NCC, as it counts as a solo qualification). You can only have one ninja with you if you're only participating in NCC. If you want to participate in 2 or all 3 solo qualifications, you cannot have a stage ninja with you.
- You have to upload one individual reference photo of the character (this will be used by the judges to judge your cosplay and for the background on the screen when you're on stage, so please use one as detailed as possible).
- You have to upload a photo of yourself (for internal use, preferably something like a passport photo)
- From here, you have to write a screenplay for your act. This has to use your sound, light, and lines in the act as a point of departure. Remember to be precise with the time stamps in proportion to your sound, since the light cues will be programmed from these time stamps. Here is a GUIDE on how to make a screenplay.
- You have to upload a sound file (or choose to do without sound where you then have no sound for your act, not even dialogue between the characters).
- Next, you have to mention what props you want to use, where you have to state their weight, size/measurements, and a description of each prop.
- Finally, you have the oppertunity to uploade extra files, such as further detailed photos of your characters.
