J-Popcon will again this year host a sake tasting for participants over the age of 18. At the event we will taste sake, learn about the different ways to drink sake and how it is produced in Japan. We'll find out which Japanese and Danish foods are the optimal partner for five different types of sake and get a lot smarter about the many different assumptions about sake which exists among the Danes.
The tasting is handled by the savvy Anne Juel Christensen, who has worked at Masumi Brewery in Nagano, Japan. Anne specializes in Japanese cuisine and has among other things taught both the staff at Danish restaurants such as Umami and Noma about sake making and tasting. For this tasting, she will bring 4 different bottles of sake.
Want to join the tasting? The tasting and lecture lasts an hour and it costs DKK 150,- to attend, to cover the price of the sake. Please book your spot at the tasting through J-Popcon here. There are limited spaces, so hurry to sign up if you want to secure your place.
PLEASE NOTE: You must be 18 years old by Saturday april 22nd to attend the event and present a valid photo identification (driver's license or passport) at the door to the event room.
