Bonsai is a meeting between artistic expression, deep horticultural knowledge of trees, a high degree of craftsmanship, and a sculptural endeavour. With its history dating back thousands of years, bonsai in all its forms has fascinated people in many different cultures for a long time. As a practice, it requires great understanding of trees and plant growth in general as well as a high degree of patience and an eye for design.
Jan Leung and Jonas Lint are both deeply engaged practitioners and will share their knowledge of the artform – from the historical aspects to general techniques used in the craft.
